Restoring Mental Health, One Bench At A Time.
"restoring benches is more than just a metaphor..."
At The Bench UK, we really are restoring benches as a way of restoring mental health. Just as we would take time to repair and refurbish a bench, we can approach our mental health with the same care and patience. Together, we can create a more connected and compassionate society.
Come together
Our big yellow bench was a familiar sight around Norfolk and Suffolk events last summer. It's a stark contrast from the subtle restored benches we install in community spaces. Our goal is simple; to encourage people to come together to nurture the mental health of our communities.

Why a bench?
Benches, in their simplicity, offer mental health benefits by providing spaces for mindfulness, reflection, rest, and connection. Whether placed in natural settings or city streets, benches serve as powerful tools in promoting mental well-being. They can be moments of respite in a busy world, places of solitude or social connection, and spots where the mind and body can heal.
A note from our founder
"Many people are motivated by personal experiences with mental health issues, either their own or those of loved ones, driving them to create solutions for others."
Andy Watts, Founder.
