Restoring mental health- one bench at a time.
Come together
Our big yellow bench was a familiar sight around Norfolk and Suffolk events last summer.
It's a stark contrast from the subtle restored benches we install in community spaces. But it's a great talking point and has been well received at the events we have taken part in this year.
FESTIVALS & EVENTS
Restored & installed
Our benches are lovingly restored by individuals and community workshops. They represent the healing process that improving mental health can have upon our lives. Once fully restored our benches go to community spaces for people to enjoy.

Covid-19:
Social Isolation
The Lockdown periods of Covid-19 were a challenging time for many people. Social isolation and loneliness are not only linked to depression, but they also raise the risk of anxiety, cognitive problems, self-harm, and suicide.
Our goal is a simple but powerful one, to encourage people to re-connect and engage with others.
A note from our founder
"I created The Bench UK with one aim in-mind; to get people connecting and talking to each other. It can be this simple thing that enriches people's lives and generates hope."
Andy Watts, Founder.
