#1.  Reepham

The first recipient of our benches (a matching pair) can be found at The Bircham Centre, Norfolk. The Bircham Centre is a community building that is held in Trust for the benefit of the town. It houses a Charity Shop and second-hand book room, as well as hosting Reepham Library, Reepham Archive and the weekly Country Market. Our benches can be found in the communal garden. We supplied two benches to our first location to celebrate togetherness and the launch of our project. ​Thanks to:     Ian and Claire for facilitating our first location. Restored by: Clive

#2.  Calthorpe

Calthorpe Church, Norfolk, was built in the 13th century and is truly magnificent building.   Morning sunshine floods the chancel with its early 17th Century altar rails through an attractive pre-ecclesiological east window of the 1820s. Our second Reepham location is Field of Joy, a social smallholding in a magical meadow in Reepham, Norfolk. At Field of Joy, they initiate and develop a connection to nature through spending time in their wildflower meadows, bird and wildlife watching, and sitting around a campfire with new friends. Field of Joy is a place where you can connect with nature. ​Thanks to: Caitlin and her team for connecting with us. Restored by: Clive

Halvergate Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Halvergate is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, north of Reedham between the Rivers Bure and Yare, within The Norfolk Broads. To the east of the village are the Halvergate Marshes, an area of drainage marsh which was the site of the first Environmentally Sensitive Area in the United Kingdom in 1987. ​Thanks to: Philip for all his help with this bench, ​Restored by: Stalham Men's Shed

Banham Zoological Gardens is a 50-acre (20 ha) zoo in Banham, Norfolk, England. The zoo itself, which today is home to more than 2,000 animals, opened to the public in 1968, became a charity in 2013, and has since been often awarded the prize of Norfolk's Top Attraction, by numerous different organisations, with an annual visitor attendance of in excess of 200,000 people. ​ Thanks to:     Jandre for facilitating the installation Restored by:  Dereham Men's Sheds​​​

The Bug Parc, Lenwade, Norfolk, is the ultimate up-close experience for bug lovers of all ages. At The Bug Parc, you can see hundreds of rare and unusual invertebrates, as well as visiting the large Café and gift shop and exploring the children’s play area, complete with sandpit and jumping pillow.  Thanks to: Martin  Restored by:  Stuart

The Friends of Ditchling is a registered charity with the sole aim to “preserve the area known as The Green as an open space, with access for all, free from commercial trade and signage”. ​Thanks to: Hayley and Kelly for sponsoring bench number 7 and helping us install a it in such a wonderful place. South Wootton Cemetery, King's Lynn, Norfolk, is the eighth bench location.​ Follow directions to the village hall, you will find two benches on the left, just through the entrance. ​ Thanks to: Tracey at South Wooton Parish Council. Restored by: King's Lynn Men's Shed

Conveniently located in Norwich’s vibrant city centre, students at Crown Place have an easy connection to the University of East Anglia, while only being a short walk away from Norwich University of the Arts. Dahlia Addiction and The Old Vineyard Coffee Shop, Forncett, Norfolk, sounds like a delightful specialty! With over 200 varieties, all homegrown, it must be a paradise for dahlia enthusiasts. Having a specialist dahlia nursery attached adds even more charm and uniqueness to the experience. It's a lovely combination of coffee culture and horticultural delight. FAMFEST, was a celebration of flowers, ale, music, and good company! It took place on Friday 20th September and raised money for TBUK (final amount soon to be announced! XAdventure Activities is an activity centre set in a Norfolk woodland-site that specialises in day or a full residential programmes. Connect with nature at the same time as completing a series of challenging and adventurous activities. Natural Surroundings lies on the Bayfield Estate, an area of farmland and woodland spread across rolling hills on either side of the River Glaven in North Norfolk. Extending across 8 acres, Natural Sourroundings is a wildlife-gardening & Wildflower Centre: Nursery, Gardens & Café. Our bench can be found down the far end nestling by the Donkey Hut, over-looking the lower meadow of Glaven Valley. #13. Very superstitious...

Whenever the TBUK team had a chat about locations, we always said no one would want to be the 13th location!

Not all of us are superstitious, but the more we joked about it, the more we all got spooked! 

So we took a vote and decided omit bench location number 13.

Botedale Recreation Ground, Botesdale, Suffolk, has recently undergone a huge transformation. The integrated, environmentally sensitive design uses the whole of the site to provide a range of features and facilities for the whole community. The design includes play and exploration features for Toddlers, Juniors and Youth, alongside health, fitness and well-being equipment for all ages and abilities from toddlers to seniors. The design also recognises the need for quieter, more tranquil spots for people to enjoy.
